English Lavender refers to Lavandula Angustifolia
Most people believe that there is only one kind of lavender, yet the Lavandula family includes almost 40 species; Lavandula angustifolia itself contains several cultivars.

- Royal Velvet
- Nana Alba (white)
English Lavener oil is really the right choice for aromatherapy and skin care. With a lower camphor content in the oils than Lavandin, ‘true’ lavender essential oil helps speed healing of burns.
These varieties will not produce as well as the intermedia hybrids, but the flowers and oils from English Lavender are well worth the extra effort.
